171 Monday Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary

“Where Are You?” (Genesis 3:9) — Sin Produces Hiding, the Rosary Awakens “Here I Am”

Psalm 111:10 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.”

Lord asked Adam:  'Have you eaten from the tree of which I had forbidden you to eat?'

Disobedience to God, humanity fell from the Tree of Wisdom to the Tree of mere knowledge — from the fear of God to the fear of death.

The fear of God brings obedience, humility, reverence, freedom and life because the soul remains rooted in God’s truth and love. Rosary effectively brings obedience, humility and life culture to live in the warmth of Fear of God.

Cold is the absence of Hear. The fear of death produces disobedience, anxiety, self-preservation, pride, and slavery in because the soul becomes separated from the peace and security found in God.

After the fall, fear entered the human heart.

Genesis 3:9 : The LORD God then called to the man and asked him: Where are you?
10 He answered, “I heard you in the garden; but I was afraid, because I was naked, so I hid.” .

Fear of death often forces people to live in shadows — shadows of anxiety, pride, self-protection, false identities, addictions, vanity, and spiritual hiding. Instead of walking freely in truth, the heart begins to conceal itself like Adam among the trees of the garden.

After the fall, humanity became deeply conscious of nakedness, weakness, insecurity, and mortality. The fear of death often creates an inner emptiness that pushes people to cover themselves through outward appearances, pride, status, possessions, constant activity, or the need for approval.

A life of “show” can become a way of hiding inner fear and vulnerability.

Instead of resting in God’s love and truth, the fallen heart tries to clothe itself with image, performance, and self-glory.

The fear of God clothes the soul with humility and truth.
The fear of death often compels the soul to hide behind appearances.

After the fall, humanity began seeking life mainly through the “tree of knowledge” — relying on pride, self-will, control, and independent judgment apart from God. The curse was not knowledge itself, but separation from humble communion with God. Humanity fell from childlike trust into restless self-centeredness.

The spiritual journey is therefore a return: from the false security of mere knowledge back to the true Tree of Life, who is Christ. Through grace, prayer, humility, repentance, and obedience, the soul gradually moves from prideful self-reliance into living union with God, where truth is no longer merely known intellectually, but lived in love and communion.

Please pray for the ChristusWay 21-Day Journey — that through God’s grace many hearts may be freed from the fear of death and brought into the fear of God, which is the beginning of wisdom.

The Rosary forms a person  to reach Calvary to Get Mary as Mother "Behold your mother"

The Rosary helps a person reach Calvary, where Mary is entrusted with the disciple, and the disciple with Mary.  It becomes a way of walking with Christ along the Way of the Cross, forming the heart of a disciple in obedience, calmness, humility, and surrender.

John 19:26–27 reveals this mystery at the Cross: “Woman, behold your son… Behold your mother.”

It is important to receive Mary as mother, so we may walk our own way of the cross by carrying the daily cross. The daily Rosary helps ensure we remain in her care, learning to carry the pain of purification in trust and perseverance.

The Rosary helps a person enter into a deeper relationship with Mother Mary as spiritual mother, who leads souls out of fear and into trust in God.

Genesis 3:20 — “The man called his wife’s name Eve, because she was the mother of all living.” In this moment, Eve is named as the biological source of humanity, yet this motherhood unfolds after the fall, where life continues outside Eden under the wounds of disobedience, separation, and the fear of death. Humanity still lives, but this life is now marked by anxiety, striving, and hiddenness, where the heart often seeks survival through self-protection rather than resting in communion with God. This is the condition of fallen existence: life sustained physically, yet wounded spiritually, often lived in the shadows of fear and interior fragmentation.

In Christian understanding, Mary as the “New Eve” is not in opposition to the first Eve, but her healing fulfillment. Where the first Eve’s disobedience contributed to the entrance of fear and death, Mary’s obedient surrender—“Let it be done to me”—is united with Christ’s redemptive work, through which death is overcome and life is restored.

Sirach 40:1 — “A great anxiety has God allotted, and a heavy yoke, to the children of Adam, From the day they leave their mother’s womb until the day they return to the mother of all the living.” This verse expresses the condition of fallen humanity as a life marked by anxiety and burden from birth until death. It reflects the inner weight often described as the fear of death, which can lead the heart into restlessness, striving, and self-protection. Yet within this journey, Scripture also points toward a deeper return: humanity is not only born into labor and limitation, but is also called, through grace, back into communion with God, where fear is transformed into trust and life finds its fulfillment in Him.

Please pray for the ChristusWay21 21-Day Formation Path to become a true time of conversion, inner healing, deeper prayer, and renewed love for God.

May every participant be led out of fear, anxiety, and hiddenness into God’s light, truth, and peace. May they come to know not fear, but the deep peace that comes from abiding in Christ.
