142. 4th Sunday of Easter . The Lord said to my Lord
Many are wandering, many are being robbed, but the Shepherd still calls.
Acts of the Apostles Acts 2:25 says: “I saw the Lord ever before me; with Him at my right hand I shall not be disturbed.”
Book of Psalms Psalm 82:6 says: “You are gods, all of you offspring of the Most High.”
Gospel of John John 10:34 recalls this same passage: “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, you are gods’?”
Acts of the Apostles Acts 2:34 says: “The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand.”
Humanity was made for noble sonship, stewardship, and life under divine light. Through the fall, this dignity was wounded by sin, disorder, and separation from grace. What was meant to live in harmony became scattered.
Through Gospel of Matthew baptism and life in Jesus Christ, a person receives the opportunity to be restored, grow in union with Christ, and live again as a faithful son or daughter of God. In His presence, one receives peace, strength, and spiritual authority through grace.
First Epistle of Peter 1 Peter 2:25 says: “You had gone astray like sheep, but now you have returned to the shepherd and guardian of your souls.”
To go astray is to drift from inner order into confusion. Many are outwardly busy but inwardly lost—driven by pressure, vanity, fear, distraction, wounded habits, and restless desire. They gain activity yet lose direction, gain noise yet lose peace.
Gospel of John John 10:9 says: “I am the gate. Whoever enters through me will be saved and find pasture.”
To enter Christ is through faith, repentance, prayer, sacramental life, obedience to truth, and daily communion. The Rosary quiets the mind and keeps the soul near Jesus Christ through Mary, mother of Jesus. ChristusWay trains awareness, discipline, and recognition of what blocks union.
Gospel of John John 10:8 says: “All who came before me are thieves and robbers…”
Thieves and robbers are every force that steals the soul: lies, manipulative voices, vanity culture, addictions, fear-based messaging, and desires that drain life while promising freedom. These influences often appear attractive or harmless at first, yet slowly weaken clarity, peace, discipline, and communion with God.
Because of this, constant awareness of truth and faithful grounding in Catholic teaching are necessary. Truth exposes deception. Sound doctrine protects the mind from confusion. Prayer protects the heart from hardening. Sacramental life strengthens the soul with grace. Without formation, many people absorb the values of the world without noticing it.
If thieves work daily and aggressively to spread lies, awareness must also be daily. If deception is constant, truth must be constant. If the world forms habits, grace must form stronger habits.
