135.Sunday : Disciples of Emmaus

Acts 2:25 —
“I saw the Lord ever before me;
with Him at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.”

Acts 2:28 —
“You have made known to me the paths of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence.”

To live in His presence is not automatic—
it requires harmony within.

A life aligned with Christ
is a life in harmony:
an awakened soul,
a sound mind that sees truth clearly,
a meek heart at rest,
and holy habits that keep us connected to Him.

“Be holy, because I am holy.” — 1 Peter 1:16

We were not redeemed with silver or gold,
but with the precious blood of Christ—
a spotless, unblemished Lamb.

Through Baptism, we are called into this holiness.
We are freed from empty patterns of the past.

But this call must be lived.

To grow in holiness
is to grow in harmony.
And to grow in harmony
is to live more deeply in His presence.

On the road to Emmaus,
the disciples walked in grief and confusion.

Jesus was with them…
but they did not recognize Him.

Why?

Because their hearts were heavy
and their minds unclear.

Sound reason helps us recognize truth.

ChristusWay daily Mass reflections
guide us to walk with Christ
and understand Scripture.

The Rosary draws the heart toward Him,
binding us to His life and love.

Together, these become holy habits
that build harmony within.

A sacramental life becomes our prayer:
“Stay with us, Lord.”

And then… their eyes were opened.

In the breaking of the bread,
they recognized Him.

This is the journey:

From confusion to clarity.
From fear to peace.
From blindness to recognition.

When the inner life is aligned,
we begin to see clearly.

We recognize His presence.

And we embrace His yoke—
not as a burden,
but as rest.
