84.Friday : Lords people: True Fasting : Bridegroom : fresh wineskins

Isaiah 58:2 :   They seek me day after day, and desire to know my ways, Like a nation that has done what is just and not abandoned the judgment of their God; They ask of me just judgments, they desire to draw near to God.

Lords people: Outward, religious, or moral actions can look identical, yet originate from two entirely different, and often opposite, internal conditions. One is outward religious performance from a Pharisee’s hypocritical, hardened heart; the other is inward spiritual reality from a disciple’s meek heart. Since the expression is the same, the true state is not visible to human eyes. One is loud, one is quiet. Both are content in nature, so they may not know each other. One is ruled by the Fear of God, leading to a life culture; the other is ruled by the Fear of Death, leading to a death culture.

The Rosary effectively aligns a person's internal and outward nature through the warmth of the Fear of God, accessing abundant grace. This prevents the formation of a cold, Pharisaical faith, allowing a person to express true life in their religious, moral, professional, and mundane actions.

True Fasting :

Isaiah 58: 6 Is this not, rather, the fast that I choose: releasing those bound unjustly, untying the thongs of the yoke; Setting free the oppressed, breaking off every yoke?

Result:

Isaiah 58:12 Your people shall rebuild the ancient ruins; the foundations from ages past you shall raise up; “Repairer of the breach,” they shall call you, “Restorer of ruined dwellings.”

Matthew 9:14-15

15 Jesus answered them, “Can the wedding guests mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them? The days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast.* 16No one patches an old cloak with a piece of unshrunken cloth,* for its fullness pulls away from the cloak and the tear gets worse. 17People do not put new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise the skins burst, the wine spills out, and the skins are ruined. Rather, they pour new wine into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved.”
