70.Friday : David loved God with his whole heart and offered thanks in all his deeds.

David loved God  with his whole heart and offered thanks  in all his deeds.

The Rosary is the sling that felled Goliath; it breaks every demonic bondage.

1 Samuel chapter 17 verse  40, Then, staff in hand, David selected five smooth stones from the wadi and put them in the pocket of his shepherd’s bag. With his sling in hand, he approached the Philistine.

The Rosary is the culmination of David's psalms, bringing peace and tranquility.

Rosary, called "Our Lady's Psalter, emerged as a lay alternative to the 150 Psalms traditionally recited by monks, allowing the illiterate to participate by praying 150 Hail Mary's, meditating on Christ's life through the Mysteries, thus echoing the depth and themes of the biblical Psalter in a new form.

The repetitive nature of the Hail Mary's and Our Fathers helps the mind to focus, creating a meditative rhythm similar to the Psalms, fostering tranquility and devotion. The word "Rosary" means "crown of roses," symbolizing the spiritual gift of beauty and peace given with each prayer.

Where the rosary is recited there will be days of peace and tranquility," said St. John Bosco.

Rosary is David's harp to conduit God's presence.

Like David's music, the Rosary is a conduit for God's presence—a spiritual weapon rather than a physical one. Its rhythmic prayer awakens the soul, calms the heart, and confronts spiritual enemies, creating space to rest in God's presence.

1 Samuel chapter 16 verse 14, Whenever the spirit from God came upon Saul, David would take the harp and play, and Saul would be relieved and feel better, for the evil spirit would leave him.

Sirach chapter 47 verse 2, David played with lions as though they were young goats, and with bears, like lambs of the flock.  As a youth he struck down the giant and wiped out the people’s disgrace; His hand let fly the slingstone that shattered the pride of Goliath. With his every deed he offered thanks to God Most High, in words of praise. With his whole heart he loved his Maker 9and daily had his praises sung; He added beauty to the feasts and solemnized the seasons of each year With string music before the altar, providing sweet melody for the psalms So that when the Holy Name was praised, before daybreak the sanctuary would resound. The LORD forgave him his sins and exalted his strength forever; He conferred on him the rights of royalty and established his throne in Israel.
