Wednesday - 4th Week of Advent.
I took you from the pasture, from following the flock, to become ruler over my people Israel. Build me a house to dwell in. I will assign a place for my people Israel and I will plant them in it to dwell there.
2 Samuel 7: 5. Go and tell David my servant, Thus says the LORD: Is it you who would build me a house to dwell in? 6. I have never dwelt in a house from the day I brought Israel up from Egypt to this day, but I have been going about in a tent or a tabernacle. 8.I took you from the pasture, from following the flock, to become ruler over my people Israel. 9. I was with you wherever you went, and I cut down all your enemies before you. And I will make your name like that of the greatest on earth. 10. I will assign a place for my people Israel and I will plant them in it to dwell there; they will never again be disturbed, nor shall the wicked ever again oppress them, as they did at the beginning, 11.and from the day when I appointed judges over my people Israel. I will give you rest from all your enemies. Moreover, the LORD also declares to you that the LORD will make a house for you:
Through baptism, every Catholic is called to be a "King." As a king, you need to make wise decisions based on information from the prophetic office and the priestly office.
As part of the prophetic office of your Catholic baptism, you are called to enter the presence of God to pray and know His will. This process involves both the soul and the heat and is called imagination.
As the priestly office of your Catholic baptism, you have to gather information of current requirements of yours and others based on common sense. This process involves senses, brain and heart and is called cognition.
As part of the King's office of your Catholic baptism, you have to use your free will to take decisions based on the imagination, reason, and cognition.. This decision is going to result in either grace ,which converts into blessings or curses.
I took you from the pasture, to become ruler over my people Israel : Through baptism, every Catholic is called to be a 'King' .Catholics are called to participate in Christ's kingly mission by serving others, promoting God's Kingdom of justice and peace, and ruling their own lives with virtue, as taught in the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) and Scripture. Through Baptism, believers become part of Christ's "royal priesthood," called to a life of holiness, service, and spreading the Gospel, transforming the world to align with God's plan, not through worldly power but through charity and humble leadership
You will be called Prophet of the Most High : Through baptism, every Catholic is called to be a 'Prophet'. In Catholic teaching (CCC), baptism incorporates Catholics into Christ's mission as priest, prophet, and king, meaning the baptized share in His prophetic office by witnessing to Gospel truth, speaking for justice, defending human dignity, and proclaiming the Good News through word and action, living a life that reflects Christ's light and calling out sin, becoming "enlightened" children of God and part of the "people of God".
Luke 1:76. And you, child, will be called prophet of the Most High, for you will go before the Lord to prepare his ways,77. to give his people knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins,78. because of the tender mercy of our Gods by which the daybreak from on high will visit us 79. to shine on those who sit in darkness and death’s shadow, to guide our feet into the path of peace.” 80.The child grew and became strong in spirit, and he was in the desert until the day of his manifestation to Israel.
You will be called 'Prophet of the Most High'. Every Catholic holds this mighty prophecy. All we need is to lead a fundamental Catholic life and grow to higher levels of Purgation to union with Christ.
