Monday -19th Week - Ordinary Time: Saint Clare

Freedom, Sonship, Providence.

The heavens, even the highest heavens, belong to the LORD, your God, as well as the earth and everything on it.

Obey the Lord your God ,with your whole heart and with your whole being. Circumcise  the foreskins of your hearts, and be stiff-necked no longer, everything will be given.

Matthew 6: 33 Seek first the kingdom [of God] and his righteousness, and all things will be given .

Matthew 17: 25 Jesus asked him “What is your opinion, Simon? From whom do the kings of the earth take tolls or census tax? From their subjects or from foreigners?”  he said, “From foreigners,” Jesus said to him, “Then the subjects are exempt."

Baptism  is the door to justify sonship and access to providence.

Justification declares a person righteous before God through Christ's sacrifice. This is a one-time event, while sanctification (through sanctifying grace) is a continual process of becoming more like Christ in daily life. God, through the Holy Spirit, uses sanctifying grace to cleanse and empower people to live a life of righteousness (right living).
